Okay. I feel inspired right now to write this rant… or maybe annoyed into writing this rant. Annoyed by all the people on my facebook talking about POLITICS.

NO. Not because they’re talking about politics, that’s GOOD. Christ, people who know me have heard me rant about THAT multiple times and how I think that’s a fundamental problem to where our nation is at the moment. Whatever point in time in which talking about politics became taboo was the beginning of the end for liberty. But that’s another rant for another time.

Right now all I’m seeing is people pledging their undying love for the Republican party or the Democratic party or their undying hatred of one of the two. HOW did these parties brainwash all of us so badly that we’re fighting tooth and nail for them? HOW?

Did we all forget we live in a DEMOCRACY? Where we’re all free to think for ourselves and that we DON’T HAVE TO VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT or A REPUBLICAN. It’s literally like choosing between a KING OR QUEEN. I thought that’s what this great nation rebelled against in the first place? Both candidates of both parties are puppets for a giant machine both built on lies and exploitation and self preservation (at all costs). All the good they do, they do for votes and everyone supporting them, you or I, are being cheated and scammed.

Neither of these parties CARE ABOUT YOU. They want you to think that, so that you do all their dirty work for for them… cry, scream, yell for them, and vote for them. But they don’t. We talk about lobbyists and special interests groups. OPEN YOUR EYES. Both parties are the embodiment of that.

The people who support the bi-party system do so because they threw their money in the pot, like a wager, that their party will win and that they will profit. The people who support both parties with millions of dollars don’t do so for the good of the nation, or the good of progress, or the good of you, or me, or liberty or freedom or education or science. They do so because they have a stake in that party winning. The win the wager and they win millions if not billions. That’s what it’s really about, not health care or $500 stimulus or a pittance of a tax cut. It’s like a big stupid horse race and none of us have the kind of money to influence it, so all we can do is pretend like we do and watch.

I use to think if I didn’t vote for either Mama or Papa I’d be throwing away my vote. But I changed my mind when I knew that every year more and more people are waking up and voting for a 3rd party or more importantly a third PERSON. Not because they truly think they’ll win this year, or sadly even this decade, but because they’re adding to the momentum of waking this country up to more possibility, growth, and REAL CHANGE.

Eventually this momentum will be enough to topple the monarchy (or biarchy?) that has once again taken control of this nation disguised as a man behind the curtain. If we do more of the same, we’ll get more of the same. But if you’re like me and hate seeing our nation fall behind others who use to be way behind us (look this up, it’s sad) and want us to turn this around and be a leader again, then stop doing more of the same. Have some courage, make a statement, do some real research before you get robbed of your vote, your voice, and your influence.

P.S. I don’t blame the guys who have a real stake in one of the two parties for voting for their stake, we enable them (and I mean a real stake, not like a couple hundred or even couple thousand dollar stake in the policies of one of the two parties from tax breaks or table scraps… I mean a real stake like millions and billions of dollars). For the rest of us, we have no excuse.

Apparently the Samsung Galaxy stole Apple’s cellphone design. I think Apple is right too… just like Apple’s cellphone (what’s it called again?)… it’s a rectangle, has rounded corners, has a screen, a microphone, a speaker, and buttons… oh and it’s black. I think Samsung even had the nerve to call it a phone too. Apple owns that word too right? “phone”? -JFT
